Rewarding Achievements

Accelerated Reader Program

At the end of each Nine Week Grading Period, Ms. Wade, our media specialist, evaluates the students' scores and determines who has earned a spot in our 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, etc. point club. Students who have read enough to be in a point club will receive a reward and their names will be displayed and read on the morning news. Students will also receive a bookmark and a prize at each point club level. At the end of the year, the top point earner for AR will win a mountain bike or a hover board!

Author's Tea Program

Each quarter, a student from each class is nominated by the homeroom teacher to participate in the Author's Tea Program based upon his or her exemplary writing. Students and their parents will receive an invitation to join an administrator in the media center for cookies and juice. During this time, the children may read an example of their wonderful work to their parents, enjoy their snack, and receive a certificate and a pencil. The Author's Tea Program will take place on October 25, January 24, March 21, and May 22 at 10:00 after the Honors Day Program Assembly.

Honors Day Program Assembly

The K-2 Assembly begins around 8:15 and the 3-5 Assembly begins around 9:00. Honors Day Programs will take place on October 25, January 24, March 21, and May 22.
